Grow it yourself. We’re growing Watercress on toiletpaper. Takes just a few days to grow and will be on the dinner table during Easter.

I had not heard of Emily Slotte before I saw that she was the photographer of Zara homes new international baby campaign. And she is truely talented. Look at these pics. To catch children on camera when they play and don’t make funny faces is a gift… And to make Zara homes stuff look so natural in an old Swedish house is also well done.Photos from Emily Slotte and Zara home.
As promised – once a day new easter crafts on the blog. So here is the best tips if you have kids who love dough or baking. Buy marzipan and let them create the cake decoration. Because a cake like this is actually what I am going for. To go all in is so much more fun!
My kids spent 2 (!) hours making different easter decorations out of 500 g of yellow marzipan. Keep in the fridge and they will last til next week.

A historic brand like Strand hotel at Nybrokajen in Stockholm meets another luxury friend in the business – Hästens beds. And they like each other. You can tell from the images. Today Hästens launched their new bedlinen series in light pink and dark navy in the softest soft satin. And I got to try out the new sheets… Bedlinen like these do cost a smaller fortune. But as some listeners to Trendpodden has told us many times – when you buy this kind of quality you only need one or two sets to wash and wear all the time.
The hotel has undergone a massive renovation with help from Wingårdh arkitekter. I like the way they have used the lighting in the bedroom with the hanging globes from Flos. In combo with smaller reading lamps built in the bed and the natural light from the large doors the light gets perfect.
The result is an international air of luxury with handmade Swedish beds from Hästens, still made in Köping and the textiles in Portugal as most others. (Will we ever see the textile industri back in Borås and Sweden again?)…
And this comfortable chair I loved! Just can’t remember the name of the company who makes it! Do you? Send a DM on insta – @joelhome! Thank you!

There are some things that work as icebreakers when you have invited new friends over for the first time. Like these things. Conversation pieces. Some of my favorites in the Interior (when it comes to new things!). It can be a pink bench from Danish Ferm Living in an unexpacted place or the golden banana from American Jonathan Adler as we speak of in episode 57 of Trendpodden… Or a little white mouse lamp from Italian Seletti.

This weekend was the start of the Easter crafting. Now we have 1,5 week of craft making EVERY DAY. I promised the kids… So join us! First of all we only make simple things that every one can do. And I like to find ways that are recycable like these ones. You buy tulips. Throwing away some of the green petals? Use them like this instead;
Napkin holders by tulip petals:
A true quick fix and #diy for Easter crafts. I use linen napkins from Himla but you can also use ordinary paper napkins.

In the last episode of Trendpodden we talk about #bucketlist . One thing on mine is Vasaloppet – a Cross country competition 90 km from Sälen to Mora in Dalarna. Today I did it. I signed up for the race – March 3rd 2019! I’ll be there! Finally it will happen. Feel so happy and excited!

Friday means new flowers in the house. Daffodills for 5 euros was the deal for today. I like the color combination yellow, green and with a touch of pink (in the vase – see below). And this interior show us the way to go. Wild!

Now I want to dress myself like this for spring! (Adlinks).
Never have I been this inspired to start the season of gardening and grow my own plants! So todays press event with Ellos showing their ”Garden collection” was welcomed. This year I loved the textiles and especially the bench cushions that were really beautiful in different fabrics and quality. Velvet, linen and cotton. To be used both outdoors and indoors for example in the kids or teen room.

If you thought the graphic style was over in Interior Design – think again. In Scandinavia the style will never die. These are some inspiring women – Interior Designers and bloggers that use the graphic style in their interiors. Of course Lotta Agaton that has designad and styled for a new Korean bathroom brand with the Swedish name – Lagom. Not launched in Sweden yet.

The Norwegian blogger Nina Holst run Stylizimo and is a true inspiration for the minimalistic style. Her house is a source of inspiration for people renovating a house and want to keep it sustainable and classic.
