I had not heard of Emily Slotte before I saw that she was the photographer of Zara homes new international baby campaign. And she is truely talented. Look at these pics. To catch children on camera when they play and don’t make funny faces is a gift… And to make Zara homes stuff look so natural in an old Swedish house is also well done.Photos from Emily Slotte and Zara home.
As promised – once a day new easter crafts on the blog. So here is the best tips if you have kids who love dough or baking. Buy marzipan and let them create the cake decoration. Because a cake like this is actually what I am going for. To go all in is so much more fun!
My kids spent 2 (!) hours making different easter decorations out of 500 g of yellow marzipan. Keep in the fridge and they will last til next week.

There are some things that work as icebreakers when you have invited new friends over for the first time. Like these things. Conversation pieces. Some of my favorites in the Interior (when it comes to new things!). It can be a pink bench from Danish Ferm Living in an unexpacted place or the golden banana from American Jonathan Adler as we speak of in episode 57 of Trendpodden… Or a little white mouse lamp from Italian Seletti.

Never have I been this inspired to start the season of gardening and grow my own plants! So todays press event with Ellos showing their ”Garden collection” was welcomed. This year I loved the textiles and especially the bench cushions that were really beautiful in different fabrics and quality. Velvet, linen and cotton. To be used both outdoors and indoors for example in the kids or teen room.

If you thought the graphic style was over in Interior Design – think again. In Scandinavia the style will never die. These are some inspiring women – Interior Designers and bloggers that use the graphic style in their interiors. Of course Lotta Agaton that has designad and styled for a new Korean bathroom brand with the Swedish name – Lagom. Not launched in Sweden yet.

The Norwegian blogger Nina Holst run Stylizimo and is a true inspiration for the minimalistic style. Her house is a source of inspiration for people renovating a house and want to keep it sustainable and classic.

Soon off to a press event! See you on Insta if you like! Enjoy the day! Kram Johanna
Have you tried it? Well, I did and it was actually a great start up for making new plans for my company and setting goals. A time to focus. That also meant we did skip to record a new episode of Trenpodden. But this week we are back. As normal. Friday early morning!

There are journlists and bloggers that really inspire me in every way. One of them is Maria Soxbo who, among other things, is a great writer at Husligheter. Read her blog and get inspired by her honesty and direct texts! She also made my week writing like this in her newsletter;
Some branches of willow and cherry tree have been around for the last weeks. I change the flowers, cut the edges and give them fresh water every now and then. And tulips make me so happy this season! I do think it’s true. Tulips do keep the doctor away ???.

This episode is all about answering questions and one was about Vintage interior and art. To get the best answers I met some experts in the fields on the ongoing Antique Fair. Clas Moser, Johan Sjöström and Cecilia Nordling – Loved talking to you! These were my personal favorites.
Happy Friday to you and thank you for reading and listening!

Yes, these were also some of my favorites at Stockholm Design Week 2018.

Accept Norr 12.
Rushed into ICA supermarket yesterday evening om my way home and grabbed 3 packs of flowers. This time these flowers were all fresh for the day:
1 Lovely branches of cherry tree. Can’t get enough of them this time of year. Gives me hope of spring.
2. Willow (vide).
3. Pink bluebells (prärieklocka).
Start with cutting all the stamks of the flowers. Then put the branches from the cherry trees. Continue with the willow and finally the bluebells.
